It seem Zinga has been updated Mafia Wars Theme. You could see on your Mafia homepage there is new appearance, like this:
We could filter our mafia member by Rank, Alphabetical, New Mafia, Top Mafia, and Need energy. Make us more easier to see our mafia update by using the scroll on the left bar, just click on their image and you will go to directly to their profile. Also easy for us to give them gift or energy pack. Set the filter to "Need Energy" you'll see the appearance like these below, send your mafia energy pack immediately, surely they gonna say thanks to you, maybe by send you a gift.
